1.1 To apply for an LEI number, renew an existing LEI, or transfer an LEI under our management, complete the relevant application form, submit your information, and pay for the service by credit card, PayPal, or Google Pay.
1.2 The applicant agrees that by submitting the application form, they accept the Terms and Conditions of LEI.net™. The applicant confirms that they have full authority to apply for an LEI on behalf of the Legal Entity. The applicant also confirms that the information provided is accurate and acknowledges that their contact details may be shared with the relevant Local Operating Unit (L.O.U.) responsible for processing the LEI application.
1.3 The applicant for a new LEI authorizes LEI.net™ to apply for an LEI on behalf of the Legal Entity. An LEI renewal applicant authorizes LEI.net™ to renew an LEI on behalf of the Legal Entity. An LEI transfer applicant authorizes LEI.net™ to transfer the LEI under our management and understands that an LEI transfer may result in a change of L.O.U.
1.3.1 The applicant acknowledges and agrees that LEI.net™ is authorized to accept the terms and conditions of the selected L.O.U. on the applicant’s behalf. The applicable terms of service will depend on the L.O.U. processing the LEI application. The terms of service among L.O.U.s are generally similar as they all follow GLEIF guidelines.
1.4 LEI.net™ will begin the LEI registration process shortly after the applicant has submitted the required information and payment. The applicant understands that they may be asked to provide a Letter of Authorisation (Power of Attorney) or other documentation proving that they are authorized to apply for an LEI on behalf of the Legal Entity. If the required authorization is not provided, LEI.net™ cannot proceed with the application and reserves the right not to issue a refund.
1.5 LEI.net™ may also request additional documentation relating to the registration of the Legal Entity or documentation confirming the identity of the person(s) authorized to represent the Legal Entity. If such documentation is not provided when requested, LEI.net™ cannot proceed with the application and reserves the right not to issue a refund.
1.6 The LEI code will be issued as soon as possible after payment has been received. In most cases, the LEI is issued within 24 hours. However, in exceptional cases, it may take up to one week. LEI renewals and transfers may take up to seven (7) days. Once the LEI has been issued or renewed, an invoice will be sent to the applicant’s email address.
1.7 The applicant acknowledges that the application becomes final once the required information has been submitted and payment has been made. Applications for new LEIs, renewals, or transfers cannot be revoked after acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Once sufficient information has been provided for the LEI to be issued, the process cannot be stopped.
If the client purchases a multi-year LEI renewal service, LEI.net™ will cover the renewal costs for the selected period and renew the Legal Entity’s data annually in the GLEIF (Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation) database using information available from official public company registries. The client accepts that Legal Entity information may be updated automatically to match official registration records.
2.1 The client agrees to notify LEI.net™ if there are changes to information that cannot be verified through public company registries (for example, Level 2 relationship data relating to Parent or Ultimate Parent Entities). LEI.net™ will update the information through the relevant L.O.U.
2.2 If the signing authority changes during the automatic renewal period, LEI.net™ may request a new Letter of Authorisation. If the required authorization is not provided, automatic renewal cannot continue until valid authorization is received.
2.3 If no Letter of Authorisation is provided within 60 days, LEI.net™ reserves the right to cancel the multi-year renewal contract without issuing a refund.
2.4 Customers will be notified by email before their automatic renewal. They will have a five (5) day period to submit any required changes to their LEI information. After this period, the renewal process will begin through the relevant L.O.U. Once completed, customers will receive a confirmation email together with the renewal invoice.
Fees for new LEI registrations, LEI renewals, and LEI transfers are available on the product pages of the website.
LEI.net™ reserves the right to charge a refund processing fee of 30 GBP per approved refund.
Payments are authorized and processed through LEI.net™ and its designated payment and LEI processing partners.
The refund period as detailed under the GLEIF RA Governance Framework will be honoured where applicable.
LEI.net™ reserves the right to deny refunds if:
– The purchase has become final.
– The client transfers the LEI to another service provider.
– The client fails to provide proof of authorization, Legal Entity registration documents, or any other documentation required to issue, transfer, or renew the LEI within 60 days of submitting the application.
This Agreement and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany.
The client is fully responsible for all LEI-related activities associated with the Legal Entity they represent. LEI.net™ shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use or issuance of an LEI.
LEI.net™ operates as an LEI Registration Agent on behalf of its clients and cooperates with GLEIF-accredited Local Operating Units (L.O.U.s) to register, renew, and transfer LEIs.
